I replaced a "classical" Cuisinart with the FP-14 in the hope that it would struggle less with my favorite sourdough recipe. The FP-14 appeared to bog down far less than my old Cuisinart but smelled like it was on the verge of an electrical fire and finally popped the thermal safety. This is not what I expected with a machine that is supposed to have a capacity of seven cups of flour. All of this may be simply break-in woes, but at the moment I'll less than overjoyed. On a more positive note: I found t

My old Cuisinart had been slowly breaking down for about a year, but I kept putting off getting a new one out of thrift. Now I'm sorry I waited so long! I love the power, speed and ease of use of this new machine. It is much easier to put the lid on and off--which was a major issue with my old one. I have not yet used the small or medium bowl, so I can't comment on them. But I am very happy with this purchase. It is big and heavy, and I had to figure out where to store it as I could not possibly lift it int

I purchased this machine with high hopes in November 2009. I was making purees for my younger son and my old, 4 cup processor just was not cutting it. I saw this machine and thought it would be perfect. It promised excellent performance and I admit that I was taken by how lovely it was. I'm not a big kitchen gadget fan and like clear countertops, but I liked this for how it looked in addition to the promised performance. Unfortunately, I have not been 100% satisfied. It's really gorgeous, but for a $2

I recently purchased the Kitchenaid 12 cup food processor. After using it for 3 weeks, I returned it for the 12 cup Cuisinart, and so glad I did. They are not even in the same ball park. 1. The stem inside the bowl of the Kitchenaid is too short and liquid leaks all over the place/ The cuisinarts stem is very long, and the blade LOCKS into place. No leaks. 2. The blade locks in on the cuisinart, so if you are pouring, it stays put, not so on the kitchen aid. 3. There is a pour spout on the cuisinart and mak

great machine with two issues, locking system for blades is not that great. The dough blade does not lock at all. I have had it raise during dough cycle and get dough up inside dough blade housing. Messy. Rather inconvenient when using smaller bowls to have to clean ALL of them.

The positive is that it works great. Easy to clean. Nice storage box. Love the retractable cord.

The negative - If you don't the the back part of the top of the machine hooked over the back part of the bottom of the machine - what a mess! Be very careful, because the machine leaks somewhat as it is, and if the top isn't on exactly right, the machine will run, but leaks really bad.

Excellent product, loads of detailed descriptions on here which I found very helpful and factually correct.

My wife loves the machine and we use it all the time!

Only gripe I have, is don't always notice the lid isn't down all the way. Handle part clicks, but the front isn't always in. Just need to double check it is all. ON the other hand, I love all the parts that come with it. The different size bowls are good to make smaller batches. I love that the cord is retractable!!!! I always keep it on the counter, but don't have room to keep all things I need, plugged in. Makes less cord mess. It is my new fave kitchen toy.

I anguished long and hard over which food processor to buy to replace my dead RoboCoupe. I bought my RoboCoupe 30 years ago. I believe that RoboCoupe manufactured Cuisinart but can't say that definitively. It lasted 30 years and plugged away faithfully for all that time. Needless to say I wanted an equally reliable replacement. I did my research, read the reviews and chose the Cuisinart FP-14 Elite Food Processor. It's great! It's very powerful and sturdy. I love the three different size bowls. The a

I'm very much pleased with my Cuisinart Elite 12-Cup Die Cast Food Processor. Initially it was difficult to decide between the Cuisinart and KitchenAid. The Cuisinart has a 1000-watt motor and the KitchenAid's was considerably less powerful. I don't know whether wattage actually translates into better performance or not. However, the difference was significant enough and coupled with their decades long tradition of quality, I decided to go with the Cuisinart. I chose the 12-cup instead of the 14. The 14-cup

This item is GREAT and works like a dream. We do a lot of canning from our garden and this made the process so much better. I highly recommend to everyone. You may purchase a lower priced unit but you will wish you had purchased this unit instead. Easy to use and especially easy to clean and will not leak when processing tomatoes and salsa.

This is by far the best food processor I've every had. Having the 3-bowl sizes has been a help because, for example,I make the dressing for my coleslaw in the smaller one then process the cabbage in the big one. I've made a bunch of stuff that I wouldn't have started without it so it's helping me keep my family healthy. I even used it to start 10 lbs of homemade sauerkraut. I'm sure I wouldn't have thought about chopping 5 heads of cabbage without it. I like the blade storage cabinet that comes with it

Love this powerful machine! Bought to replace my older 5 cup KitchenAid processor. Love the three bowls and being able to fill to capacity with no spills, not to mention the blades stay put (locked in place) when pouring and it's very nice to have the locking accessory storage box. It does feature pouring spouts, but I see no real benefit of them at this point. Would like to see the specialty blade pack made available for this unit. I tried dough in the machine, but it doesn't do as good of a job with d

This is an amazing Food processor. Nothing bad to say about it. Just dont buy an additional storage case for it. It is listed as not having one on Amazon so I ordered the storage case seperatly. The Food Processor DOES COME with the storage case.

Great food processor. It is heavy, as was noted in other reviews. I love the adjustable slicing blade. Many choices without changing blades. The "no overflow" feature of the bowl is also great.

I bought this to replace a kitchen aid food processor that was starting to break and it was a great decision! I have had no problems cleaning it and it has a very powerful motor. There are many things I have yet to try in it as I have been using it for only about 1 month. But, so far so good!

I did a lot of research before buying and chose this model thinking my family will grow into it. The big sell to me was the 3rd bowl.
It has been primarily used for baby food purees so far, but also some peanut butter and shredding. I'll admit, I had some buyer's remorse almost immediately when I put it on my counter and still had to find a place for the box of blades. It just fits under the cupboard but needs to be pulled to the edge of the counter for use. The retractable cord is a very nice featu
