I purchased this model because it was the successor model of the one I've had for 30 years that I loved. My old one finally bit the dust, but the size was ideal. So I ordered this one and like it even better! The new blades are very sharp, and I like the fact that there is a simpler top for basic food chopping - easier to take care of.

This great big cuisanart arrived to replace a little old model I got in the 70s. It seems not only big but a bit complicated to operate...any appliance that needs a DVD to explain itself has a slight problem. However, it works well once you wrangle it into position. I'm beginning to like it alot!

I have purchased two Cuisinart Food Processors and both failed within a short period of time. After the first one failed, it was just off warranty and since I DID like the way it could be used to process food, I purchased a second unit, which again failed within a very short time. This time I sent it back to the company with a request for repair or exchange. When it was returned, it worked twice. I gave up, dumped it, and purchased a Hamilton Beach unit with which I have been quite pleased so far.

It's really hard to shred veggies. I tried shredding cabbage and carrots but my cabbage turned into itty bitty mushy pieces and the last chunks of my carrots weren't shredded and fell into a gap without getting processed. I can already see the S blades starting to get chipped.. Not really all that high quality.

I got this product after searching long and hard for a larger food processor that would work as well as my smaller one. I guess I didn't think through how my use would vary from how the 4- and 5-star reviewers used theirs. That's my fault. However, the warped bowl is not. I'm very disappointed.
Not good for puree: And it would not even touch sesame seeds that need to be practically ground for hummus. The seeds simply remain at the bottom of the bowl. My smaller one had no problem with that.

I bought the Black & Decker FP2500 food processor in Nov. 2009 specifically for grating cheese. Each time I use it for this purpose, a part breaks. I've ordered 3 different replacement parts. I've checked and rechecked the instructions to see if I'm doing something wrong, but I don't think I am. Customer service and warranty are great - I haven't had to pay for the replacement parts.
It does a good job of slicing/chopping veggies and chopping nuts.

I have been through four food processors in the last few years. The Hamilton Beach 70610 is my latest. Not only do I like it the best of any I have used, it is far less expensive than my last one. Prior to the Hamilton Beach 70610 I purchased the very highly rated (by Amazon reviews) Braun K650. I think the Braun is well made. And it is said to be a bargain compared to the Cuisinart and KitchenAid models that cost twice as much. I wanted to love the Braun. However, in my experience the Hamilton Beach 70610

I'm pleased with this purchase. The machine has done everything I've asked it to do. It shreds fine, though of course watch out for stuff thats too soft. It slices good and it chops fine. I'm very please with this purchase.

This is my second Hamilton Beach food processor. The first one lasted me 3 years. I bought this one for my new apartment and used it to make some sage flavored bread crumb last weekend. For whatever reason, the plastic chute in the middle broke after one use. Let's hope Hamilton Beach will replace it.

I am a true vegetarian (no milk or eggs), so I have to cook for myself most of the time if I want to eat. I bought my KitchenAid back in May because I was tired of the same old food, and I now use it ALL the time. My recipe collection has increased ten-fold because I actually have a food processor now. As far as the machine goes, it is fast, quiet, and makes a banana ice cream that is out of this world delicious :) The only reason I gave it a four instead of five stars is because it is small. It is perfect

I had this processor for a good while, and it never failed to do what I wanted it to do. Then, the cheap little plastic ring that allows the bowl to fix itself onto the base broke. It's not even a locking device; it just gets past the safety system that will allow the thing to run. Now I have a doorstop with a strong little motor in it that won't run.

bought this processor in september and with light use it is now useless in June. plastic pieces began breaking off the drive shaft and the handle broke apart making engagement of the processor impossible. fortunately it has a 1 year warranty. We will never buy this product again. also agree with the other review which states that the processor leaves chunks of the item to be shredded in the areas above the shredder. not good. consumer reports rated this processor highly so I am now highly skeptical of
